Late Dr Jagdish Gandhi was one of India's most visionary educationists, the founder of City Montessori School, Lucknow, which he grew from five children in 1959 into the world's largest school with over 64,000 studentsârecognised repeatedly by the Guinness World Records. A lifelong advocate of world unity and peace, he dedicated more than six decades to building an education model that shaped not just capable students but compassionate world citizens. He convened the International Conferences of Chief Justices of the World, a landmark platform that brought together nearly 1500 judges from 143 countries to champion a safe and just future for the world's children. His work earned global acclaim, including honorary doctorates across continents, the prestigious UNESCO Prize for Peace Education, the Yash Bharti Award, and numerous international honours for quality education and peacebuilding. Guided by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and the teachings of the BahĂĄ'Ă Faith, he lived simply and worked tirelessly, carrying forward his mission with remarkable discipline, humility and purpose until his last days.
